Knowing Jesus Christ by Mwl. Eng. Peniel Sarakikya
God has revealed Himself in the personality of Christ, the Living
Word, and in the Bible, the Written Word.
Jesus came to the world to save sinners.
We might admire Him as a great moral teacher, and we might
respect Him as a perfect example of moral behaviour.
Unless we accept Jesus for what He is, the Son of God, the
Saviour of the world, the everlasting King, we’ll not enjoy the
fullness of His presence.
During His ministry in this world, Jesus said many things
that challenged His listeners. He oftenly spoke in parables or in
metaphors.
He used figurative language to relate common objects or
concepts with Himself or His Kingdom so that people could
better understand His identity, character, purpose and His plan
to mankind.
Over 2,000 years ago, God's identity and His plan to mankind
were reintroduced by Jesus, a young country teacher from
Galilee.
Later on, it was misunderstood and lost in the complicated
formation of another religion.
No one who has ever lived has been misunderstood more than
Jesus Christ. Misunderstanding Jesus has caused Muslims to
reject Him, Hindus to suspect Him, Buddhists to ignore Him, and
atheists to hate Him.
It is surprising to note that those who claim to represent Jesus,
the Christians, have in fact misunderstood Him and therefore,
misrepresented Him the most.
The Bible plays a vital role in unveiling to us the identity of Jesus.
The majority of that which we can know about God comes from
the Bible, both the Old and New Testaments.
God has revealed Himself in various ways; in creation, in
miracles, and visions given directly to His servants. Primarily,
God has revealed Himself in the personality of Christ, the Living
Word, and in the Bible, the Written Word.
Jesus came to the world to save sinners.
We might admire Him as a great moral teacher, and we might
respect Him as a perfect example of moral behaviour.
Unless we accept Jesus for what He is, the Son of God, the
Saviour of the world, the everlasting King, we’ll not enjoy the

During His ministry in this world, Jesus said many things
that challenged His listeners. He oftenly spoke in parables or in
metaphors.
He used figurative language to relate common objects or
concepts with Himself or His Kingdom so that people could
better understand His identity, character, purpose and His plan
to mankind.
In the book of John, there are seven famous statements in which
Jesus begins by saying “I am __.” These seven “I am __.”
statements reveal to us the true, divine identity of Jesus
Jesus is great because He inherited a greater name than any
angelic being. There is no higher name than the name of Jesus.
His name is our most powerful weapon in our battle against the
devil.
The most exciting part of this revelation is when we find out that
the power of Jesus' name is available to us, if we act on it.
Jesus has righteously overcome sin in human flesh. He
has sacrificed His life for us. He is now interceding to prepare
us for His presence. He is justly judging the case of each person.
He is worthy to be worshiped now and forevermore.
Knowing Jesus Christ: Rediscovering His identity and plan to
mankind, is a power-packed book that will fire you afresh into
exciting moments with God.
It’s my prayer, that you will be abundantly blessed and highly
favoured as you keep reading.
